As the demographics of this country begin to shift, access to the ballot has become more expensive and increasingly difficult for communities of color.

Rooted and Rise Fund is a multi-year fund dedicated to strengthening our movement infrastructure by supporting social justice organizing throughout North and South Carolina, emphasizing South Carolina.

Rooted & Rise offers general operating grants to organizations engaged in movement building across the following focused issues:

Advocacy & Public Policy:

Informing legislation and policy through nonpartisan awareness-building initiatives.

Issue-based Organizing:

Mobilizing communities around social, economic, and political issues.

Voting, Local Elections, & Political Participation:

Promoting voter registration, increasing electoral engagement, and enhancing participation in political processes.
